So I go out in the backyard this morning to get rid of a wasp nest. I hear something barking at me and look down the yard and see what at first I thought was a fox. Nope, too big too be a fox and it wasn't reddish colored. Then I decide, well, fuck, it's a coyote. I just yelled at it for a bit and it went away. I think it wanted to eat my cat.

I almost brought home a Coyote pup one day.....
(found a few bedded down behind a dumpster)
but the smaller, smart part of my brain kicked in & I left 'em~

...the coyote sidled up to Sculpey with a disconcerting calm. "Hey, man...can I eat your cat?" he asked.
Sculpey was taken aback, not merely by the fact that this coyote could talk, but by its rather crude request. He merely stared at it, slack-jawed and disbelieving.
"Hey," yelped the coyote, "hey, wake up, man! Can I eat your damn cat?"
"No!" said Sculpey, mastering his voice at last.
"Fucker," mumbled the coyote, wandering back off into the wild.

If you knew my cat and the coyote had actually asked me that, in a somewhat nicer tone mind you, I'd have gratefully fileted the damn thing for him.

see those all the time when I go down to visiti my parents in Alabama. Weird things they are. Just kind of looking at you all the time, not really speaking, but drooling over something.
Now the Coyotes - they just run.

Back when I lived with my dad, we had coyotes wandering out of Fish Creek park, and up our street every so often.
...Come to think of it, I don't remember seeing any outdoor cats around there!
